| Vehicle Description |
You are looking at a 1972 Cadillac Sedan Deville. 92,984 original miles. Car is finished in its stunning original Palomino Gold Firemist with Gold Brocade cloth interior. All chrome and brightwork shine beautifully. Many of the receipts in the glovebox prove the car has spent much of its life in Midlothian, Texas. Body is 99.9% rust-free and is arrow-straight. I have owned the car since 1998. Original 472 engine and 400 Turbo transmission. This car is about as original as you are going to find. The car even sits on the factory-correct Firestone FR-721 extra wide whitewalls. Very few are left in this condition, especially here in the midwest.
The hood and trunk were repainted with the original lacquer formula in 2001 for our wedding. At that same time, the seats were removed and were professionally re-upholstered using leftover factory gold brocade cloth material. I had the trim shop re-use the original vinyl inserts to maintain originality. The driver's side door has a small crack in the armrest. Other than that, the interior is very, very nice. An aftermarket radio was present when I bought the car. I do not have the original. Many mechanical items have been replaced in the years that I have owned it, including belts, hoses, radiator, front and rear brakes, brake cylinders and hardware, alignment, motor mounts and transmission mount.
The engine unfortunately developed a compression problem in the #4 cylinder many years ago after a road trip, and began using oil. The engine smokes through the driver's side tailpipe after being ran/driven for a while. I have faithfully kept the #4 spark plug changed since this surfaced. The engine will eventually need to be rebuilt at some point. This is the only reason I have decided to part with the car. The car still drives and runs beautifully, with the exception of the above. Car is still driven on occasion on nice summer days. With the above being mentioned, I would strongly recommend having this car shipped.
Asking $2,500 or best offer. Selling at a significant loss. All sales are final. If a cashier's check is used, funds must clear my account before title or car is released to the buyer. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I will help assist with the coordination of pickup in any way possible. |
