The body took on proportions of what would follow in the post war years. The hood opens from the front and the gas cap was hidden in the left rear taillight, which was characteristic of Cadillac cars for some time to come. General Motors rsquo; new fully-automatic transmission, dubbed ldquo;Hydra-Matic rdquo;, was also introduced this year.In recent years these Series 62 Sedans have seen an uptick in popularity. They can often be seen rumbling down far-flung rural routes participating in Classic Car Club of America and Cadillac LaSalle Club cross country tours. The Series 62 V8 engines run strong over many miles. The Touring Sedan showcased here is an excellent driver thats nicely presented from bumper to bumper.
