This is one of the most beautiful 1956 Chevy Bel Air Hardtops you will find anywhere. You will be hard pressed to find a straighter body than on this car. The color is a custom mix Centari Acrylic Enamel single stage perwinkle and off white. The car was completely disassembled prior to paint. The firewall was smoothed and the side view mirror holes were shaved. The trunk rail was also smoothed to give it a clean finished look. This car has all of its original stainless steel pieces and chrome. Every piece on this car was detailed during the rebuild process. Every visible and many non-visible screws and bolts on this car were replaced with polished stainless steel hardware. The engine is a Chevy 383 stroker motor with Eldebrock aluminum heads. Extras include Erson valve covers, Hooker ceramic coated center dump headers, chrome alternator and pulleys, and a Be Kool aluminum radiator. The rearend is a chevy 10 bolt with drum brakes. The wheels are Weld polished aluminum Pro Stars. The front end has 2" dropped spindles and modern power assisted chevy disc brakes. This vehicle was completely rewired with a new wiring harness during the restoration process.
The interior has been completely re-upholstered in a tweed that compliments the exterior paint colors. Both front and rear seats were rebuilt with new foam and springs (where necessary). The floor and firewall were completely covered with Dynamat to keep road noise and heat out of the interior before the carpeting was laid down. The headliner and door panels are beautiful and fabricated out of the same material that covers the seats. A Chevy Bow Tie was stitched into both door panels to add even more detail. The dash and steering wheel were painted periwinkle and all the interior chrome and stainless steel was restored. The dash has a am/fm CD player installed , however the am/fm does not come in because I did not want to put an antennae in the fender of this car. The CD player works great and an iPod adapter can be added. To keep the engine compartment clean, the battery was relocated to the trunk.
The vehicle is located in South Orange County, California. I will be happy to send more pictures or a video of the car. I encourage any interested buyer to see the car in person.
