 Vehicle Description
MotoeXotica is very excited to offer this very rare and unique, show quality, 1954 Nash Rambler Custom Coupe Hot Rod. This is one of nicest cars we have ever had. This is one great ride that is a combination of a 1954 Nash Airflyte and some modern running gear and sharp looking metallic green paint. This car is motivated by a highly detailed4.6L V6 Chevy engine with a 350 Turbo 3 speed Automatic transmission with the shifter on the floor. This Hot Rod also has an independent front suspension, front disc brakes and air conditioning. This is an extremely well built custom Hot Rod that has unique styling to set in apart from other rides. The interior is all new. The front and rear tan leather bench seats are in excellent condition with no wear or rips and are very comfortable. The tan carpet flooring and floor mats look fantastic, with no stains or wear. The tan vinyl headliner is in superb condition. The tan painted metal dash is in great condition. The original factory radio has been replaced with a detachable face Pioneer AM/FM/CD Player radio with wireless remote. All of the glass is terrific. It is slightly tinted and the windows roll up and down smoothly The exterior has new show quality paint and there are no visible imperfections. It is a fantastic metallic dark green with lighter green flames that make it pop. The front and rear painted steel bumpers look excellent, with no dents, ding, scratches, or rust. The same is true of the painted steel grill. The chrome wheels are in great shape and are wrapped in 165 R15 radials in the front and P235/60 R15 radials in the rear. All tires have lots of tread life left. It has quality craftsmanship and cool hot rod styling that will turn heads and create smiles anywhere it cruises. This car is in award winning condition and is sure to please the next owner. The VIN is D196316 and this car is showing 96913 miles. It is being sold on a mileage exempt Colorado title. GET OUT AND DRIVE! The 53s were identified only by small chrome spacers on their cowl air scoops (part of "Weather-Eye"). Nash still billed itself as "Americas travel car" with things like a drawer-type glove box and a full-width parcel net above the windshield. An attractive new "floating" grille appeared for 54, when Custom two-door sedans were scratched and the Statesman got its own dual-carb engine: a 110-bhp setup dubbed "Dual Power-flyte." That surely raised eyebrows at Chrysler, which had a new PowerFlite automatic transmission that year, but Nash probably got away with it because sales had been steadily dropping: from about 143,000 for 52, to 109,000 for 53, and finally 77,000 for 54. More ominously, the low-profit Ramblers -- nicely updated for 53 via a clean single-bar grille -- accounted for a continuously growing percentage of this dwin-dling pie. As with many classic cars, they are not popular during production, but their scarcity makes them very desirable and valuable today. On January 14, 1954, Nash and Hudson Motor Car Company merged, and the successor corporation was named American Motors Corporation (AMC). Following the merger, Hudson dealers began receiving Ramblers that were badged as Hudson brand cars. The Hudson Ramblers and Nash Ramblers were identical, save for the brand name and minor brand badging.
