 Vehicle Description
The TR6 was first introduced in 1969 as a replacement for the TR5/TR250. The updated styling by Karmann of Germany allowed for more cargo capacity in the rear of the vehicle when compared with previous models. The interior is rather luxurious with its bucket seats and wooden dashboard. This is a true and refined sports car that continued on the proud and prosperous tradition of the TR series with a 2498 cc inline six-cylinder engine. This carbureted U.S. version produces over 105 horsepower that is transferred to the rear end via a synchromesh four-speed fitted with overdrive that works in third and fourth gear. This 4 owner car is a true classic with 72,593 original miles. It spent its life in CA until 2004 when the 2nd owner sold it to a gentleman in Canada. The 3rd owner had the car frame off restored at a cost of over $24,000 which did not include the cost of the car. It is in incredible condition and has only been driven a couple of thousand miles since its completion. It was originally Pimento Red (Orange) but was changed to its current color of British Racing Green during its restoration. Other than the color change this beauty is 100% correct and numbers matching. We would appraise this car for the N.A.D.A. high value of $28,000 but have priced it as an average valued car for a quick sale!
