Pontiac Torpedo 4-door straight-6 that runs

The car is a 1947 Pontiac Torpedo. 4-door. Straight 6. 3 on the column. The car is 95+% complete with OEM parts. It has been taken apart to start the rebuild process. When I bought the car, I was told the engine and transmission had been rebuilt, painted and put back in the car. The engine compartment has also been painted. The engine runs as long as you are putting gas in the carburetor; the fuel pump and tank are off the car. I have not tried the transmission. The interior is complete but in needs to be redone. There is very little hard rust on the car but a lot of surface rust. The passenger front fender had a tree limb fall on it is an ice storm and is dented. The rest of the car is straight.
