1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie Skyliner Convertible with a Retractable Hardtop roof two toned in Torch red and Colonial white.

The 1959 Skyliner is the rarest and most desirable of the three years of production (only 12,915 were built in 1959) and only cars built half way thru the year have the additional name GALAXIE, which was the highest trim package offered by Ford.

This Skyliner has an 8 cylinder OHV Engine -- 332 cu. in. V8 Thunderbird Special motor and the Ford O Matic transmission.

The car has had a frame on restoration; the paint on the car is still shiny and smooth as glass, and the chrome and stainless were re-chromed and still shine brightly.

This car is garaged year round and has never been driven in the rain or snow.

Restoration Work Done by Year -- 1993-Transmission, 1995 - Rebuilt the engine, painted car, re-did the bumpers, 1996 - Replaced full interior 1997- Replaced headlight bezels, eyebrows, top stainless over back window, the carpet, door latches, ash tray, rear window seal, front and rear roof seal, grill trim pieces. 2014 -- Complete tune up, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump and fuel sending unit, new battery, new front disc brakes and master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, replaced generator with new design alternator, new belts, removed and repaired radiator, 4 new white wall radial tires, 4 new 15 x 5 wheels, new gas tank and straps, new fuel lines front to rear. I have receipts from the restoration work.

The car drives great, you can drive it anywhere. This car needs to be seen in person to appreciate its beauty.
