Not only was 1978 the Silver Anniversary of the Corvette, but it was also the year that the Corvette paced the Indianapolis 500. It was a big year for Chevrolet, and to celebrate the honor at Indy, they built 6,502 pace car replicas. Each one was equipped with a whole host of options that included Power Windows and Door Locks, Air Conditioning, Removeable Glass T-roof Panels, Rear Window Defogger, Sport Mirrors, Tilt/Telescopic Steering Wheel, P255/60R15 W/L Tires, H.D. Battery, AM/FM/Stereo w/ 8Track, Power Antenna, Aluminum Wheels w/ Red Accents, and the Convenience Group. Not only are all these present on this example, but they all function as intended. In addition this car is equipped with the Gymkhana Suspension, Cruise Control, and the L82 Engine. There is lots of nice paperwork with this car including the original build sheet, window sticker, and instructions for removing the roof panels as well as the operation of the blower motor.
