"PRICE REDUCED" now $65,000.00 * Good Day: First let me start off by saying "There's just way too much to list" & a labor of love, pain, sweat & many, many $$$ that went into this Fairlane over nearly 4 long years.
The original plan called for building a 64 Galaxie "Light Weight" tribute, but that soon changed after an absolutely "rust free" body was found in Southern California(photos available) The entire body was media blasted & then put on a rotisserie where it stayed until the body was made "laser straight" - all original body panels except hood. Fiberglass bumpers. No expense was spared & the "mile deep" Black paint is proof of that.
The interior was next & there was no expense spared there either. Great pain was taken to make it look & feel factory new. Even the plated chrome pieces were sent out & redone.
With the professionally built 427 side-oiler already done for the Galaxie, parts were gathered to make it all work in the Fairlane. Again special attention was taken to make it look as if it were the real deal. In my opinion I succeeded & two owners of real Thunder Bolts have told me, it looked even better.
UPDATE SINCE ORIGINALLY POSTED: The Fairlane now has the correct Borg/Warner 4-speed side-loader. And I did retain a factory style shifter that was sent out & reconditioned. Radio/heater delete. A period correct 9 inch rear with 4.30's in a Detroit Locker. A complete & very accurate period correct suspension was installed in the rear - leaving the front basically OE stock with drum brakes, but rebuilt using all Moog components. Very few test miles(100)have been driven for sorting everything out. Over 100k invested w/receipts - price reduced to $65,000.00 from 75k to encourage sale - motivated seller.
I'm sure "serious" potential buyers will want to know much more & please feel free to ask. Please be adviced, I've been building & collecting antiques, classics & muscle cars for well over 30 years - so I believe it's safe to say - this isn't my first rodeo.
I welcome personal & qualified 3rd party inspections - in fact highly encourage it. Overseas buyers are welcome also. However I will not reply to inquires that don't have a name & a contact number. Contact Dan 845-546-5523 up to 9pm EST - New York - USA.
PS: Do to the incredible amount of overseas scammers & people texting in the middle of the night - no text messages will be accepted or answered.
PSS: Trades ??? yes partial trades with $$$ my way. Very interested in Antique, Older Classics & pre 72 American Muscle Cars.
