1970 was the last year for the two-seater AMX and the last year that AMX would be a stand alone model. Built only 3 years, 1970 had only 4,116 AMX's produced, which was far less than 1968 or 1969. Today, AMX retains a vaunted spot among AMC fans more so than any other year.
