You are looking at an Austin Mini that is registered as a 1973 model, but comes with many features found on later model years (1990). The car has undergone an exhaustive restoration and upgrade on the entire drivetrain. The old powertrain (998cc engine with 80k miles, 3-speed automatic) has been replaced (1275cc engine with 30k miles, 4-speed manual). THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY DOES NOT RUN, BUT ONLY NEEDS CARBURETOR WORK TO GET IT GOING.
Virtually EVERYTHING has been replaced on this car, drivetrain-wise. Carburetor, intake manifold, engine, transmission, clutch disc (less than 50 miles), exhaust manifold, many engine gaskets/seals, radiator hoses, axle boots, steering rack boots, accelerator cable, choke cable, clutch hose, clutch slave cylinder, oil (less than 50 miles), oil filter, spark plugs, battery. The vehicle also features a Cooper-style paint job, right hand drive configuration, and a wide tire/fender conversion.
This car was going to be my daily driver, unfortunately my circumstances have changed and I need a larger car, so I am forced to sell it as-is. I have all major receipts showing proof of work done to the vehicle. A simple carburetor tune-up will get the vehicle back on the road. Carburetor problems aside, engine cranks readily, and does not smoke.
