1951 Mercury Chop Top

The purpose of this build was to create a modern, turn-key car with everyday usability and perfect manners, yet keep the original look and nostalgia of the Lead Sled. Over 1000 hours were invested into this, to carefully chop the top and add the desired slant, We then added air ride suspension in which we had to raise the motor as well as the transmission, in conjunction to the body to reach the optimal stance. Last, but not least, we added fuel injection, a/c, disc brakes, and everything else a modern car would have. The Outcome, A blast from the past, with road worthiness to drive everyday if desired.
