Although Ford made dramatic strides with the modern F-1 truck in 1948, it was the F-1\'s successor, the 1953 F-100, that really set Ford apart from the competition and created an icon beloved by collectors today. The 1953 to 1956 F-100s have become especially prized by street rodders, as the smooth lines and ground-hugging fenders lend themselves much better to the rod motif than the F-100s that followed.
This all steel 1954 Ford F-100 has been nicely restored with a few custom touches that have enhanced the classic design even more. Finished handsomely in a rich, mirror-gloss Bordeaux Red Metallic paint, this classic truck is fitted with gleamingly beautiful bright trim, chrome bumpers, bezels and emblems that accent the paint finish wonderfully. A set of 15-inch Eagle alloy wheels wrapped with Copper Cobra Radial G/T tires staggered front and rear, fill out the large fender openings and give this F-100 a great stance. The high quality of the restoration can be seen in the panel alignment and how solid it feels when the door shuts. The interior fit and finish is excellent as well. A tastefully trimmed cabin is fitted with a saddle vinyl seat with burgundy piping, custom and very tailored looking door panels, black carpets and a rich suede headliner. The dash is painted to match the exterior and holds the original stylish gauge cluster in excellent condition. Oil and temperature gauges are located under the dash and original floor shifter and large steering wheel add to the truck\'s nostalgic character.
