| Vehicle Description |
| The Oldsmobile Toronado debuted in 1966 as the largest front wheel drive car ever and the first American full-size front wheel drive car since the 1930s Cord. The 68 model Toronado is arguably the most desirable of all 1st generation Toronados. It has the aggressive styling and big 455 cubic inch V8 rated at 375 hp that put this car on the muscle car map. The engine compartment is clean and dressed and ready to show. This gorgeous 68 Toronado has been given a fresh coat of correct #G2 willow gold paint and the original vinyl top shows like new. The all original interior is in great shape with all the cloth and vinyl looking very good. This car has all the luxuries Oldsmobile is famous for including A/C (freshly restored), power steering, power brakes, power windows and rear defroster. There is a Custom Autosound “Hideaway” 140 watt AM/FM stereo with a trunk mounted 10 disc CD changer and new Eclipse speakers which are all controlled by a flip-phone style RF remote control with a 50 foot range. The stereo is completely concealed so that all you see is the original stereo in its original spot. They made cars big back then and this car is no exception sporting an obscene 211.4 inches of American steel from front to back with a long 119 inch wheelbase providing the smoothest ride available at the time. The original mag rims have been given new chrome 3 spoke spinners and roll on new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. The signature front grill was split in 68 and given a honeycomb insert unique to that year only. The exterior chrome including the front and rear bumpers, rocker moldings, vinyl top moldings and the glass moldings show bright and clean. The under body is clean and sports a mean dual exhaust. This was Oldsmobile in all its glory with bold styling, a powerful engine and a distinct focus on driver and passenger comforts with modern day luxuries that were ahead of their time. This classic 68 Olds Toronado is ready to show and go in you hometown today. For more pictures and a video of the engine running, visit our website at www.hotrodschoppers.com! |
