 Vehicle Description
My 65 GTO was restored and repainted in 2003. The original color was burgundy, but it was repainted Montero Red. The Interior has been completely redone, including headliner, seats and carpeting. The engine is a 389 with a new Edlebrock carburetor. The numbers do not match. The dash has the Rally gauge package. Radio is an AM only. Both radiator and heater have been recored. The transmission is a 4 speed (M21) with a Hurst shifter. There is a center console. Dual stainless steel exhaust, with Flowmaster mufflers run from the original manifold. It has a 355 ratio rear end and 15" Cragar rally wheels. I do have a copy of the PHS documentation. Bumper chrome is in excellent shape, trim chrome needs to be rebuffed. When it was repainted there was minimal body work done, just some dents that were repaired. Front end has also been rebuilt. This car has taken many awards at car shows and is in excellent condition. The mileage on this car is unknown as the speedometer has been repaired. Additionally, the speedometer reading is incorrect as I have 15" not 14" wheels on the car. There is no power steering, locks, windows, or air conditioning. This is the way a GTO was supposed to be. Brakes are original drum brakes. For additional information, I can be reached at 'Ask seller a question' link.
