This stunning car has been garaged for over 25 years. It's the car that I had my first kiss with my husband in. It's the car that he had since high school. It's the car that he cherished as his prized possession.
Sadly, he isn't here with us any longer - so,I must sell the burgundy beauty and pass it on to another deserving owner.
When you fire up this bad boy, the sexy rumble gets inside your head making you dream of open roads and cop-free highways. Take off those T-tops and let the wind blow through your shotgun rider's long blonde locks. Park it anywhere and it is an instant chick magnet. Every little boy dreamed of having this very car when he was playing with his matchbox collection.
Unfortunately, the specifics and history of this car died with him. Here is what I know:
Maroon - re-painted 10 years ago (approx)
Two sets of T-Tops - one set painted and one set tinted glass.
He was the second owner of the car. He bought it in 1986 with 36,972 miles on it.
The brakes were replaced in 1999. They are a bit hard to press when I test drove it yesterday.
The interior has what he called "egg shell white leather" The seats have some rips on the seating area.
There are two sets of carpets - original and replacement.
I have two extra wheels. They come with the sale of the car.
You get the original valve covers as well.
He replaced the starter twice over the last ten years. It used to get hot and we had to wait until it cooled down. I believe that this is not a problem anymore.
Never been in an accident.
I'm not certain, but I think he mentioned that at one point it was a manual and he changed it to an automatic. Again, I am going off of memory. You could probably figure that out by decoding the VIN number.
The lights pop up and down, but one goes slower than the other and sometimes needs prompting to pop up.
The brake light stays on.
I had a mechanic take a look at it and drive it, he didnt mention any major issues, so it seems like with a little fine tuning that it will run like a dream.
