For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an extremely powerful 1979 Ford Mustang that challenges every other car we have under our roof. This pro-street Mustang is powered by a 514 CID V8 race engine. This car has been raced for the last 8 years by the same owner. The build started with a Griffin 4-core aluminum radiator with electric fans. Next was a Moroso electric water pump for HP savings. The block is a IDT Eliminator Sportsman serial 00003. The engine was blueprinted and prepped with exact racing tolerances, 4-bolt billet mains with ARP studs, Scat 4.3 steel crankshaft, Scat 6.8 H-beam rods and 13.8:1 flat top nitrous pistons and rings. More build specs available upon request. Behind the powerful, 900 + HP engine is a Pro Glide transmission and a Pro Spool 4.11 rear-end. The Ford has a 87 Mustang front clip with new headlights and a 5 inch cowl fiberglass hood. The exterior is painted white and looks very clean for a pro-street! Inside you will find black racing bucket seats and a roll cage. This is a 8.5 second car that pulls straight and smooth and is easily tuned to match whatever you have in mind. There are just 200 miles on the build and high-end performance parts stand constant amongst the build as well. If you are looking for a pro-street Mustang you can tear up the streets or the track, this is it! To view a video of the car visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
