Stk. 1850 1972 Chevrolet Corvette
C3 Fans rejoice! 1972 is a significant model year in that it was the last year for a Corvette to offer full chrome bumpers, a color-keyed windshield wiper cover and removable rear window. With the exception of its single-stage enamel basecoat to the exterior and all new carpeting for the interior in 1996; this exciting Warbonnet Yellow 989 over Black Vinyl Confortweave 400 Corvette is mostly all original. Even after eighteen years, the glossy finish is still virtually flawless, as is its bright work; and is a testimony to what great prep and finishing can provide. A little liberty was taken in enhancing the already voluptuous body lines by adding an LT1 hood, complete with the correct, painted black LT1 stripe and hand-painted black and white pinstripes to grace the tops of the wheel arches. One glance in the interior will confirm the same exceptional level of care that this Vette has been given. Its original dash pad, door panels, console and Black Confortweave Vinyl Seats look as new; and almost defy its original age. All instrument gauges have crisp looking faces and are fully operational; including the clock. Optional factory equipment includes N40 Power Steering, N37 Tilt and telescoping steering column, J50 Power Brakes, C60 Air Conditioning and U79 AM/FM Stereo radio. Nestled between those curvaceous flanks is the original 350 cubic inch engine, producing approximately 220 horsepower and 360 lb/ft of torque, with the help of an aftermarket Edelbrock aluminum intake and its original Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. A Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission smoothly channels that power to a stock 3.36:1 independent rear axle. To drive this C3 is a true treat in that its steering is quite quick in response and the suspension tracks wonderfully straight wherever its aimed. Throttle response is also impressively crisp as well as that signature small-block sound! Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information.
