DESCRIPTION

I bought this June/20 for my teenaged son’s first ride. I cannot, in good conscience, relegate this beauty to that fate.
I got it from a old timer who bought it new in May 1978. He winter drove it that first winter and never did again. It was never crashed. He was a body man by trade (left the body biz 86 and sold insurance the last half of the work years) and repainted it in 89 and 2011. A real car guy and a gentleman.
He and the Mrs used it every summer to pull their trailer, putting on 255000km (158k miles), but you’d never know it.
It really needs nothing as it just passed a rigorous inspection and has had a ton of recent work including brakes, shocks, tires, belts, fluids and front end parts in the last 5000km (3000 miles).
Old timer kept the owners manual and marked down every oil change, grease and lightbulb for 42 years. The engine, a strong 351, was done 25000km (15000miles) ago, has headers and dual exhaust. Runs perfectly and doesn’t burn a drop of oil. When he did the engine (his son-in-law is actually an engine machinist...) they also did the flywheel and a new clutch/PP. the transmission shifts seamlessly. He put 3.73s in around 81, but I still have the factory 3.00 crown and pinion.
In 1985, it was converted to propane and has run that gas since and while its a nice cheap and plentiful gas to run, you could easily switch it to gasoline as the dual tanks are intact, fuel lines are still there and Holley makes their nifty Sniper fuel injection.
Original seats in beauty shape, glass is perfect, runs and drives perfectly; I’d drive it anywhere.
The body is straight, undamaged and there is no rust. The trim is all there. Factory hubcaps. Even still has the factory am radio and no dash butchery for tape deck/CD etc. Even comes with the original canopy that he put on when it was new.

I’m going to get the kid something a little more...um...sacrificial.

Shipping from my location in Canada is surprisingly cheap depending on the carrier and timeline.

Any questions, please let me know!
