 Vehicle Description
Where most rods are neat cars with big engines, I prefer to think of this one as a big, honkin engine with a 1933 Ford wrapped around it. Yes Ford fans, thats a gen-u-ine 1969 Boss 429 big block under the hood of this roadster, and youd better believe that it delivers when the pedal drops. As I said up above, lets talk about that engine first, because it most definitely sets this 33 apart from all the rest. Its a real C9AE block with correct S code heads, complete with ports big enough to swallow golf balls. Fully rebuilt, it offers all kinds of tasty goodies, like a custom Crower cam designed by Jack Roush himself and the heads have been port-matched to the Weiand dual quad tunnel ram intake topped by a pair of 600 CFM Holleys. Polished Boss 429 valve covers are unmistakable, and theyre such a tight fit in the 33 engine bay that the hood sides, while included with the car, wont fit. The exhaust system is a true 4-inch stainless setup that looks like water mains for a small city. The engineering that went into this build is extraordinary, from the massive radiator to the wiring that is neatly hidden out of sight, and theres just no doubt that this was a very, very expensive professional build. The engines backed by a TCI-built C6 3-speed automatic feeding a set of relatively mild 3.55 gears out back. A Mustang II front end offers SSBC disc brakes and youll note that the entire floor of the car is stainless steel for an ultra-sanitary look underneath. Now, about the rest of the car. Well, its a Gibbons body atop a Fat Man Fabrications frame, and the look is that of a vintage 60s gasser with a modern twist. The bodywork was finished to an extremely high standard, then bathed in black urethane thats about six miles deep. With full fenders, shaved trim, and that classic billet 33 grille, it looks spectacular sitting in the showroom, and even more incredible on the move. If you want the right kind of attention, this is the right kind of car. Inside, the custom crafted interior features Katskin leather seating surfaces with matching naugahyde on the door panels and dash. No 60s gasser was ever this finely turned out, but nobody can argue with the craftsmanship that went into it. Those door panels are beautifully sculpted with aluminum accents, the custom dash is full of VDO gauges, including a tach mounted down low on the steering column. A Lokar shifter does a pretty good imitation of a vintage manual knob, and the carpets are custom tailored for this car. Youll also note another rarity with this one-a rumble seat, fully trimmed in matching Katskin leather, as well as a snug black canvas convertible top, just in case. This rod will never be duplicated, and the engines wow factor alone is worth the price of admission. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
