I am selling my RARE 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans 2 door 4 cylinder 195 automatic sporty coupe w/rear transaxle.....I have had it for 21 years....it has been cared for, & restored....an unusual car.....Imagine a V8 389 engine cut in half to a 195!!....Cylinders are as big as a V8...It is a very fast car!.....Rear wheels turn in on a curve (independent suspension)......The car needs a new coat of paint and the radio doesn't work.....
This Tempest Lemans had one owner before me and I bought it in Missouri from a little old lady who only drove it to the store.....Below is a list of things about this car and before and after restoration within 7 years (after I had the engine rebuilt in 2002).....I have invested more than $8000 and have a lot of receipt history....
*Car has minimal rust
*Has nice original chrome trim body pieces/moulding (added options)
*Bucket seats
*Original seats 99% perfect....small separation of vinyl corner on driver seat
*Arctic white paint w/ light blue interior and darker blue dash
*Original headliner intact
*Have owners manual
*Rebuilt engine 7,200+miles on new engine
*Hardened Valve Seats
*Rebuilt carburetor
*Rebuilt generator
*Rebuilt radiator Core
*Rebuilt heater Core
*Carpet replaced within 8 years
*New windshield within 5 years
*Front floor redone with sheet metal
*New trunk mat and new spare tire cover
*New decals for jack and tranny areas in trunk
*Jack included with car
*Generic turn signal unit installed recently
*Starter replaced
*Brake lines redone witin 5 years
*Rear shoes replaced Sept, 08
*Master cylinder rebuilt in February, 08
*New power steering hose Feb, 08
*New rubber moulding around doors and trunk
*Front headlight trim has minor dings around edge
*Installed with Cool Pack AC unit under dash
*AC (not working/needs to be gone over)
*I have AC condenser screen & AC receiver assembly (out of car)
*Front end redone within 8 years
*Transmission recently inspected and OK'd
*Needs new paint
