DESCRIPTION
This car started life as a skylark in Mississippi but in 2004 a frame off restoration was done and the car was rebuilt as a GS455 Stage 1 tribute. ALL appropriate part changes were made to be a GS in every way except the serial number. This car has perfect sheet metal, never repaired, no rust. Correct factory color - see photos. The paint on this car is superb. The car spent a few dry weather years in Alabama going to car shows and then I purchased it and brought it to Ohio.
The engine was rebuilt in 2009 using Edelbrock Al heads (runs great on 93 octane pump gas), new crank, new pistons and rods, and machining of all ports both intake and exhaust. New oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, hoses, ignition, and more. The essentially new engine is just broken in with about 500 miles on the new engine. Horsepower is estimated at 475 HP.
Interior is very good. A new AM-FM radio is installed but the 1971 radio goes with the car. Hood mounted tachometer.
