DESCRIPTION

SINGLE OWNER 67 GTO CONVERTIBLE Looking for a new home.

Hi! Im a single owner 67 GTO Convertible. I was built in the Kansas City in third quarter 1966. Im Tyrol Blue with black pinstripes, black top and black interior. I have a 400 CI YZ, matching number power plant under my hood, (360 HP), with console mounted His & Hers (Hurst Dual Gate) Shifter on turbo-hydramatic transmission and a 3.55 rear end with Saf-T-Trac (limited slip differential).

My factory options include: Hood tach, air conditioning, power windows, power drivers seat, power steering, center console, power brakes with front discs, power top, power rear fender-mounted antenna, and Rally I wheels complete with original trim rings and caps.

Ive spent the majority of my life in Texas, sleeping safe and sound in a garage with car cover. We lived a few years in Colorado. But sadly, they never let me play in the snow. Man, I couldve burned some mean donuts in a parking lot! They only let me out of the garage in spring and summer months when there was no chance of getting salts and gravel on me.

Ive never been wrecked and have my original trim and emblems. I did get about one inch of water in my floorboard when my garage flooded, (a Texas gully washer) but none of my electronics were touched. They stripped my interior immediately and that prompted my restoration. My motor and transmission were professionally rebuilt during the restoration in 1999/2000. Some brake shop didnt use good judgement, when during restoration they ran my left front fender into a tool box. It wasnt that bad, the light bezel had to be replaced and some slight wrinkles had to be ironed out. Dad was plenty mad, but the real damage came when Mom blew a gasket! That was a bad day for anyone who understood English to be at that brake shop.

Im as close to stock as I can be, and I have no extra chrome underneath. I have some new parts and pieces stored in my trunk and the attic, that you can install, my top needs scrubbing (I seem to have collected a layer of dirt while sitting around) and my interior needs detailing. My clock doesnt work, but hasnt since I was a year old. I have my original AM only radio, and my original wooden steering wheel that is currently wrapped. Id prefer you put new rubber between me and the ground before you take me out very far. My tires still look good, and hold me up, but they are not new. I could probably use new rear shocks. I have a few aftermarket upgrades, a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, era correct Mickey Thompson valve covers and under-dash mounted Stewart-Warner gauges.

I come with pictures of restoration progress, original window sticker (which is a little tattered), full set of shop manuals available at the time, PHS documentation, and lots of magazines featuring me (67 GTO) collected over the last 50 years.

I was a Special Order Vehicle in October of 1966, my owners picked me up at a Texas Dealership on December 10, 1966. I need a new home, because my Dad is gone now, and Moms lost interest in keeping me tuned though she still pampers me and keeps anything from touching me (I think shes a little afraid of my power now, too).

Oh, and anyone who wants to check my facts, here you go: VIN #242677K112195. Ive got 72,908.6 actual miles and probably less than 500 since engine rebuild.
