| Vehicle Description |
| 1949 Chrysler Town and Country Woodie Convertible. Town and Country was the model name Chrysler used for all of it's genuine "woodies" built from 1941 through 1950. In 1949 the only body style available for the Town and Country was a convertible and less than 1,000 were built. The car was constructed on a long "New Yorker" 131.5 inch wheelbase, powered by a straight-eight 323.5 cubic-inch engine producing 135 horsepower and a semi-automatic 4 speed fluid drive transmission. It is believed that less than 150 of these cars remain today. This vehicle belonged to my late uncle and was last registered in 1978. The last time this vehicle was driven was in 1978 and it has been garage kept since. Not a concours quality vehicle today but a perfect foundation for a full restoration making it once again the magnificent car these rare vehicles can be. I have additional photos that I will be happy to send. Please call 1-678-283-2395 or send an e-mail for more information . |
