| Buick fans, rejoice! Everyone knows how difficult it has become to find an original mileage car thats been in the same family its entire life. However, thats exactly what we have here. This awesome survivor hails from single family ownership, shows just 52,406 original miles, and delivers exactly the kind of luxurious performance youd expect from Buick. Repainted once in the original Burnished Saddle Metallic about 25 years ago, this GS 400 has an awesome patina and a stunning air of originality about it. Take a look at the sheetmetal, which is original to the car and extremely clean, since this car has always been a cherished toy, never a daily driver. Buicks dramatic sweeping character line that neatly bisects the doors is razor-sharp, and the color is one that is just now coming back into fashion. The white vinyl top is original and in simply spectacular condition with no signs of rust underneath, no popped seams, and almost no discoloration. Chrome remains original and outstanding, with bright bumpers, shiny stainless, and correct badging, including the cool trunk-mounted GS400 emblem. Heck, even the original dealers tag is still fitted to the decklid, making this car a true time capsule. The white and black interior is exceptionally well preserved, and weve seen restored cars that didnt look this good inside. Both seats wear their original upholstery, and the foam underneath is firm and comfortable. The black carpets are deep and rich with virtually zero wear, and only the armrests on the door panels give away their age with some light discoloration. The brushed stainless steel instrument panel is full of gauges, and as a Buick, this one also carries factory A/C. That steering wheel is one of the coolest designs of the era, and the original AM radio works properly. Inside the trunk youll find what is quite possibly the original spare tire, and all the original components. Nice! Buicks big claim to fame was torque, and the 400 cubic inch V8 under the hood certainly delivers. With 340 horsepower thanks to a 4-barrel carburetor, its the perfect luxury/muscle powerplant. Smooth, refined, yet deadly on the street, it delivered everything Buick promised, along with legendary durability. The ultra-clean engine bay is a road map for historians and restorers, with all the factory details intact. Theres bright Dante Red paint on the block and unique ribbed valve covers, original fittings, lines, and hoses, and all the factory-issued components like the carburetor, exhaust manifolds, and accessories. Power steering and power brakes were definitely part of the Buick recipe, along with a bulletproof TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end. A brand new dual exhaust system has just been fitted and sounds suitably tough. Floors are solid, and it rolls on original Buick Rally wheels wearing 215/75/14 whitewall radials. Documentation even includes the original window sticker, manuals, and dealer bill of sale. This GS is a true survivor that is a slam-dunk for HPOF competition. Call today!
