This 1973 Chevy Nova Custom Rocks! It has a 383 Stroker, which is a 350 bored 60 over to enlarge the pistons, mated to a 3 Speed Muncie, which was the original transmission. A 1973 Nova "Custom" basically came with the Nova SS dressing which included the console and original factory sunroof, which this car has. After 1973 they stopped using the console, which contains the 3 speed stick and additional gauges for the engine. This car began as a 307 V8 and the engine was changed to 350 that was then cammed and stroked. This car loves to be driven hard and has a great sounding exhaust that is the reward for pushing with your right foot. This car oozes power and strength and has a great stance when sitting still and under power. Mechanically, what can we say. Get in and drive it home. It starts immediately, shifts nicely into gear with the console shifter and SS console pack. Off you go at light speed. Be careful though, because if you are not, smoking tires will happen with the flick of your right foot. It drives great, it shifts great, it stops great, and has sick power. The interior is good, not great but good. The seats feel good, the carpet is good, the dash does have some cracks, but the steering wheel feels good in your hands, and overall you can get in and drive it to dinner right now. The majority of the body is just as nice as the rest of the car. There are some minor paint bubbles on the lower door areas and there is an issue where the rear leaf spring attaches that will need to be addressed. Other than this issue, the body is in good shape, rockers, pans, and trunk are all in good shape. If you are a fan of these Novas then this is the right one for you. It will not last.
