A wonderful example of mid 1950's General Motors Excellence. This car is a mixture of original, restored, and updated for driving comfort. The entire chassis was rebuilt to stock specs with rebuilt knee action shocks, new front gas shocks and new springs, new brakes, new bearings, and all new front end components. New radial tires too.
The engine is the original 264ci nailhead with the original dynaflow transmission (both rebuilt). The engine features a period correct Offenhauser intake manifold with 3 Rochester 2 bbl carbs, along with Offenhauser valve covers and spark plug covers. Updated with a clutch type fan, an electric fuel pump, spin on oil filter adapter, 100 amp alternator, and an Optima battery. The distributor is a pointles electric unit and it has electric wipers and new deep tinted glass.
The interior features a Classic Air trunk mounted AC Unit. The original and aux heaters both work fine. In fact everything on this car works - even the clock. It has a Kenwood am/fm/cd/sirrus radio (original readio comes with car). Optional red line disc speedometer and all gauges are beautiful and fully functional. The interior is mostly perfect original with a new carpet with dynamat underlayment. The trunk is likewise carpeted and has the spare and all jack tools. The body was stripped and repainted with PPG single stage urethane.Chrome was poliched and replated.
The car has a Florida title and comes with original manuals, service manual, operating books, new car delivery booklets, buick history and information, road tests, ads, and other receipts and paperwork.
