| Vehicle Description |
I bought this car in June 2007. I had it completely checked out and learned that it needed brake work. All of that has been completed. The underdash AC unit is not blowing cold, so that would be the next item that needs attention. The fuel gauge doesn't work, and the temperature gauge has been replaced with one under the dash. Otherwise, I don't know of a single thing mechanical or electrical that's wrong with the car. The interior’s in near-perfect condition.
The engine is a 289 cu. in. V-8, and it runs smoothly with plenty of power. A previous owner had put in an aftermarket carburetor with manual choke, and I replaced it with the correct Stromberg two-barrel with automatic choke. Steering is responsive and arrow-straight. The suspension is perfect and the brakes are strong.
The car's been repainted, and there's some overspray. On the lower doors, some slight rust bubbling is noticeable. There's a single dent in one of the chrome pieces over the front fender. I haven't found any other body damage.
I'm including the shop manual, the owner's manual, a sales brochure, a factory paint color chart and some original advertising material and other odds and ends. |
