This 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 is unique in the sense that it is an S code, factory 390 CI car, where most of the Fairlane 500 cars were 289 CI, small block cars making it more rare than a GT car.
This is no show car, though it has a lot of eye appeal. It would be classified more as an attractive driver. The bucket seat console interior is in good condition. All bright work is very good but not perfect. All glass is good with the exception of a cracked windshield; however a good windshield comes with the car. The paint on a scale of 0-10 is probably an 8. It has shine and brilliance, but it has a couple of spots where the paint is not strong.
The 390 CI engine runs strong and pulls hard with its C-6 automatic transmission and 350 gear. Suspension and steering are good so car drives and handles well. It is equipped with drum brakes on all corners. Magnum 500 wheels and good BF Goodrich T/A tires give the car a good ride.
Just drive it or restore it, either way you go you have a winner in this one!
