Classic Car Marketing, Inc. Southern Californias premier marketing company is pleased to introduce this new listing offered for sale by one of our clients.
This Polar White with black interior 1970 GTO two-door hardtop is powered by the engine that some consider the zenith of Pontiac performance, the 455 HO (High Output). This was the one that blazed the trail and started it all. This is no light praise considering the multitude of Pontiac powerhouses that have resided under the Goats hoods since 1964. The GTO has full documentation and is fully equipped with power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and power locks. This GTO also has Ram Air, rear spoiler and hood mounted Tach.
The 455 HO designation made its debut in 1970, as appeared on vehicle invoices, which was rated at 500 ft/lbs of torque and 360 or 370 horsepower depending on the body style it was used in. 455 HO's were also seen in the 1971 model year with HD blocks. These special large valve heads featured screw in rocker arm studs (yes the car has the correct heads #64). A higher lift and longer duration camshaft actuated those oversize valves. Bolted to the heads was a special aluminum intake with removable exhaust crossover and a pair of special streamlined Ram Air intake. Perched atop the intake and feeding the beast was an 800 CFM Quadrajet carburetor with specific jetting for the HO. This was the one that started it all and now this fully documented GTO can be yours. Offered at $34,500 OBO.
