 Vehicle Description
For Sale in our St. Louis showroom we have a very unique 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Pro Street. No expense was spared when constructing this nitrous powered beast. The Mini-Tubbed Cuda AAR clone is finished in Plum Crazy Purple with flat black hood, it is also fitted with Cuda badges throughout. Propelling you down the strip is a 340 engine bored .040 over, 4" stroke, 416 CID 340 TA block with a 4 bolt main. Perched atop the engine is a Holley multi port EFI, with Holley 66 PPH fuel injectors, a Holley 100 GPH high flow fuel pump, and 2 Holley 100 GPH Billet fuel filters. Putting spark large enough to feed this monster are the Custom FireCore 50 wires, MSD Billet distributor, and the Mopar MSD 6AL ignition box. The internals of the engine have been beefed up with Wisco Pistons and Eagle 4" Rods, also outfitted with Bullet Racing Cam rated at 294 Dur-570 Lift. When deemed necessary you can engage the NOS Big Shot System and the 10 pound NOS bottle in the trunk. Insuring nothing gets too hot inside the block is a Griffin 3 core radiator with a 12" electric fan. Edlebrock Aluminum heads matched with plenty of chrome provide a clean and beautiful presentation under the hood. Ceramic coated intake manifold along with ceramic coated and wrapped Hooker Headers provide the engine bay with less heat, dual 3" Dynomax Ultraflow complete exhaust system. To convert the mindboggling horsepower to the rear wheels there is a 1 year old 727 transmission with a transmission brake, as well as a 4200 stall converter, SFI flex plate, and 2 transmission coolers to insure perfect temperature control. The 8 34 narrowed rear end has 430 gears, and Moser Axles 35 Spline to complete the power transfer. Looking at the front of this classic you will see the intense hood scoop and hood pin cables holding the behemoth in its cage. Scroll down the side of the car and you find the classic flat black accents stretching from nose to tail ending with the Cuda and AAR emblems to tie it all in. At the rear of the car you will find a wing mounted to help keep its massive 15.50 in. rear tires mounted to weld wheels in check as you scream down the track in 11 seconds, or engage the happy fun nitrous and reach the end in the 10.20s. We have been bestowed the honor of showing off the dyno sheets both with nitrous and without nitrous. As you sit in the Sportsman Racing Seats you see updated modern gauges and the B&M launch control shifter. Safety first, strap in and buckle up with 5 point RJS purple seat belts, feel safe with a 6 point roll cage with swing out bars that are painted purple to match the theme of the build. Additonal options for this Barracuda include: Fiberglass hood, front fenders, deck lid, quarter panels, front and rear bumpers, Painless wiring kit, Ididit tilt steering column with a Grant leather wrapped steering wheel, Ranco 9-Way adjustable shocks front and rear, and a fiberglass dash with all Auto Meter Gauges (speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure, brake pressure, and nitrous pressure gauge.) You can be proud to bring this classic cool Mopar to any track or show. You can see more of this car including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at gatewayclassiccars.com. Please call 618-271-3000 with any questions.
