1928 Model A $12,500 Dunlap, TN If you are a car enthusiast this 1928 Model A, body type #55, is a car most every automobile fan would like to own. The sedan is practical, rugged, simple and the perfect early collectable. It has a distinctive look and sound that fans recognize from a distance. This Model A is powered by a 200 C.I, 40 HP, incline 4-cylinder engine that makes great torque, and will cruise at 45 MPH all day with the occasional speed of 60 MPH. the engine is tight and correct with features such as flat cooper spark plug leads and a sealed bearing greaseable type water pump. The engine is completely original with the exception of a 6 volt alternator, the 6 volt generator, and extra starter and other parts accompany the purchase of the car. The three speed gear box is a non-synchro mesh. Underneath the car is original and in good condition including rebuilt mechanical brakes and exhaust system. The car runs good on rubber 4.75 X 2/11 rims. The Model A has had an older restoration and the paint has a few road chips in it, but the paint is good overall with plenty of shine. The interior with the restoration shows a little wear but is generally very good. The roof is very good having been replaced not long ago. Gauges consist of speedometer, ammeter, fuel gauge, and a single instrument light in the center. A coolant temperature gauge with chrome wings sits in top of the radiator, and all gauges and lights work. Other extras consist of chrome head light shades, cowl lights on both sides of cowl, dual working horns, and a spare tire with cover on rear of car.
