 Vehicle Description
If you need a cool hauler for your shop, a fun piece of muscle thats different from everyone elses, or youre like me and just dig wagons, this 1972 Chevelle is an awesome find. Restored a few years ago and stuffed with a ZZ3 crate motor, its the ideal long-haul ride for the guy who has everything and likes to take it wherever he goes.

These are actually quite rare, as most of them met their fates as the family trickster and rotted away before anyone could even think about saving one as a collectors item, but here it is. The 72 wagons have the same great front end as the rest of the Chevelle lineup, with single headlights and a blacked-out grille. The paint was done about seven years ago in what sure looks like Butternut Yellow, and it gives the big wagon a svelte look that fits its muscle car intentions. All that steel is quite straight and if this one spent its summers at the Grand Canyon or cruising to Disneyworld, all the scars have been erased. The paint work was done quite well, and if someone were to tell you it was repainted just last year, you probably wouldnt argue it still looks great. It also has great chrome, most of which was just re-restored and there is new weather stripping throughout, so it seals up well. Chevrolet and Chevelle script ornaments adorn the sides and tailgate, and the big roof rack helps complete the illusion as well as adding real-world practicality. I can almost guarantee that showing up in this Chevy will definitely get you a lot of attention.

Its possible that the tan vinyl interior is original, although the seats just look too nice to be more than 40 years old, dont you think? Whatever the case, you wont be ashamed to load up six or eight of your best friends and hit the road with this cruiser, which also includes such niceties as factory A/C and an AM/FM/CD stereo in the dash. Theres a column-shifted automatic, but an aftermarket console has provisions for two cup holders and some miscellaneous storage, and the rubber mats on the floor are another practical touch. A trio of white-faced auxiliary gauges were installed under the dash for a bit of a hot-rod look, and the cavernous cargo bay will easily haul engines, wheels, sheetmetal, and drywall home from the store. The tan is also a nice contrast with the yellow paint, not as hard-edged or as common as basic black, and with all those windows, itll be a lot more comfortable next summer, too.

For horsepower, theres a 350 cubic inch ZZ3 crate motor with aluminum heads and a 750 Holley double-pumper up top. Theres a big cam inside and it idles with the menacing rumble of a true muscle car-in fact, theres enough cam in there to warrant an electric vacuum pump to keep the power brakes at their peak. Theres evidence of lots of other new parts under the hood, and the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt with the rest of the car a few years back. A stock 12-bolt rear still does its job, and with a dual exhaust system, youll never get tired of the sounds this one makes. Giant 20-inch Coys wheels certainly stuff the wheel wells and wear 245/35/20 front and 275/40/20 rear performance radials.

Big fun thats also fast enough to be entertaining on the street. Carry anything and do it in style! Call today!
