Very nice original Corvair Monza convertible with no issues. This car runs and drives very nicely. , This car has a turbo and an air cleaner that says 180hp...but it is a 150hp. We believe that this engine was fashioned from an early year model spyder turbo which makes it quite unique. The prior owner was a Corvair mechanic and had access to other engines. We were told that the engine was recently rebuilt and that it was a spyder turbo engine. It also has the heavy duty 4 speed Saginaw transmission found on many 1966 models and that is a plus. Built at the Van Nuys plant, these cars are becoming very collectable and few left are as original as this one.
