I have a 1961 Studebaker Hawk that I have started an off-the frame restoration. Because of a lack of time and a change in priorities, I would like to find someone interested in purchasing the car and the parts. The car has been completely disassembled and has been soda blasted down to the bare metal. This was done sometime ago and the hood, doors, trunk lid, and front end have some surface rust. The body was primed and has no rust. The frame has been sand blasted. In addition, I have had all the Chrome re-plated including the bumpers and grill. There is very little body work to be done. The stainless steel is in great shape and just needs to be polished. The engine is a 289 with automatic transmission. I drove the car for about 5,000 miles before starting the restoration with no sign of oil consumption. There was seal leakage on the engine and transmission. I have also purchased a large number of new old-stock parts along with a number of parts and kits to modernize the car, i.e. 4 wheel disk brakes, new fuel system, pulleys for A/C, etc. A list of the major items for the car are provided in the attachment. I have shown what I paid for the parts. If you purchased them now, the cost has increased a miminum of 20%. Attached are some pictures of the car before I disassembled it. It's ready to be reassembled. I am asking $12,000 for the car and all parts.
