This Special Landau is a true California car, built on February 23, 1965, at the Wixom assembly plant, bought in Sacramento, CA, on March 17, 1965, and housed in the Sacramento area ever since. The car has always been garaged and carries the original black CA license plates. The car has almost every option offered by Ford in 1965, including electrically-operated windows, power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, automatic transmission, swing-away steering column, four-way electric driver seat, air-conditioning, remote- control left side rear-view mirror, right-side rear-view mirror, speed control, Special Landau wheel covers, dealer-installed protective side molding, electric antenna, original AM radio, vacuum-operated door locks, brake release, and trunk release. The car has 142,000 miles on the original 390 cu-in, 303 horsepower, 4-barrel carburetor engine. The engine is strong, does not burn oil, and has no oil or fluid leaks.
Major systems have been replaced or rebuilt. Seals, gaskets, hoses and metal tubing, as well as shock absorbers and upper ball joints, have been replaced.
