Frame off build 2010
Exterior: Arctic White with black stripes BC/CC paint. Original door handles, dual mirrors, emblems, tail lights, head lights, grill, steel cowl hood, hood pins, emblems, wheel well moldings all look great. Front & rear bumpers look new. Rubber and felt is like new, all stainless window trim is great. Centerline rims forged and polished with like new BF Goodrich white letter tires on front and Mickey Thompson blackwalls on rear. Really slick car. Beautiful!
Interior: Stock interior; bucket seats with new covers on front and rear. New gray carpet, factory clock, Pioneer AM/FM/CD player, Vintage A/c & Heat, Auto Meter Tach mounted on column. 3 set gauges mounted under dash. Horseshoe shifter mounted in console and is all original. Dash pad, door panels, package tray, headliner and sunvisors like new, Chevelle carpeted Black, Red, White floor mats. Simpson seat belts in front only. Stock seat belts in rear. Sill plates like new. Looks great inside.
Engine: The original 's matching 396 SS was rebuilt by Steve Force, with 11,700 miles since being rebuilt. Forged pistons, original rods, original crankshaft. Hot Comp Cam, hydraulic lifters, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 750 carb, chrome oil pan, aluminum water pump, internal balance, 400 plus HP. This engine is not in the car.
Current engine in car is a GM crate engine ZZ502/502, modified with Crane mechanical roller Cam. Edelbrock open plenum manifold, Cran Shaft Mount roller rockers, all forged internals 200 lb seat pressure springs 9.7 compression, ProCharger D-1SC supercharger with 10 or 12 lbs of Boost. Chassis dyno @ Jay Foleys DynoJet with 563 rear wheel horsepower with 10 lbs Boost and open exhaust. Crankshaft HP estimated @ 703 HP. All mated to a TCI Turbo 400 Super Street fighter,Auto trans, custom aluminum drive shaft. Spicer U joints, GM HEI distributor, MSD, gal Ignition Box, MSD boost timing master, Pro Charger vacuum operated purge valve. Summit 140 AMP alternator, Aero Motive 1000 fuel pump and vacuum referenced pressure regulator, Summit hoses, Hooke 2 1/2 coated headers, 3 1/2 collectors, Flow Master 50 series mufflers, custom exhaust.
The frame is original but reinforced with Nascar type X supports. Rear end is original 12 bolt using Richmond 3.73:1 gears, new rack & pinion, Superior Axles, 1/2 studs, new Eaton limited slip, C-Clip eliminator bearings one inch lower springs, adjustable air bags, Jegs lowered control arms, adjustable upper control arms, quick down shocks, brakes are standard front disc with new calipers.
