The gorgeous tan leather buckets were taken from a late-model, and offer vastly more adjustability than the standard bench, which means this car is all-day comfortable. Custom door panels were stitched up to match, and the gray carpets are nicely bound and finished. Theres a full complement of Dolphin gauges keeping an eye on the engine, all framed by a slick billet banjo-style steering wheel on a tilt column. Custom eyeball vents for the Vintage Air A/C system, power windows, and a Lokar shifter all add to the high-quality feel and make this car a pleasure to drive. This coupe also offers a completely upholstered trunk that still has room to spare despite the custom 15-gallon fuel cell. There was no messing around when it came time to make horsepower-thats a fresh aluminum 5.7 liter Chrysler Hemi under the hood, complete with fuel injection, drive-by-wire throttle, and distributorless ignition. Dressed in its own coat of silver paint, there are a few tricks like the custom valve covers, serpentine belt drive system, and gorgeous custom headers. And you can forget 30-year-old 3-speed automatics, this one packs a modern 5-speed autobox that uses computers to deliver perfect shifts every time. Out back theres a Jaguar-style independent suspension thats been fully chromed, while up front theres an independent setup with rack-and-pinion steering. Four-wheel discs, with the rears being inboard, give this Ford impressive stopping power, and with a monochromatic look that gives the chassis a highly detailed look, its a shame to take this little coupe off the lift. It achieves a traditional big-n-little look by using 15-inch front and 20-inch rear Cragar mags with 195/50/15 tires up front and massive 265/50/20 meats in back.
