Stunning 340 Cuda total restoration/rebuild

1968 Plymouth Barracuda The "Cuda" is a two door car that was manufactured by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation from 1964 to 1974. A rare car, with 7 Mustangs and 5 Camaros produced for each Cuda. The second generation 1967 to 1969 Barracuda was heavily redesigned. The fastback,(about 50% of the production) with it''s long back window and sleek lines became an iconic muscle car shape that is still a real head turner today. Design cues included a concave rear deck panel wider wheel openings, curved side glass. The rear portion of the roof on the fastback coupe was more streamlined and the back glass raked at a substantially horizontal angle. Also the use of chrome trim on the external sheet metal was more restrained.
This beautiful 2 owner Barracuda underwent a total rotisserie restoration and complete mechanical rebuild, in 2005 and has LESS THAN 1,800 MILES SINCE REBUILD. Mechanics- 340ci Small Block Motor rebuilt by Andy Costello,AC Performance with 325 hp and 363 ft/lbs( dyno sheet available).Motor has high volume J heads, MOPAR chrome covers, Eldebrock 600 cfm carb and manifold, hooker headers, MSD 6A high output pointless ignition,new triple core radiator.RUNS GREAT ON PUMP GAS. Also727 Torqueflite Automatic Transmission, 8 3/8 Rear End,3:23 Gear Ratio,front disc brakes,custom 2 1/2 inch dual Exhaust System, Flowmaster mufflers. Rumbles so sweet. Front and rear 1 " sway bars. Solid,straight body,doors,hood, trunk fit is better than original. The diamond black paint with clear coat and high contrast side stripes are really stunning and get comments from every body shop pro.Chrome,stainless,emblems are in good shape. Rubber is very good. Beautiful original polished steel wheels, "dog dish" Plymouth Division hub caps look great with 205/75/14 front and 225/75/14 rear Coker Classic red line tires. Interior Bucket seats, rear seat, all carpets have been replaced/recovered period correct. Console,dash,steering wheel in great shape.Fold down back seat,wipers,washer,horn,blower works. Seat belts front with separate shoulder strap to pass inspection and back. Walnut applique on console, AM Music Master Radio works.
