 Vehicle Description
1950 Mercury Sedan for sale in Louisville Kentucky. This 50 Merc for sale is powered by a flathead V-8 engine hooked to a 3-speed manual transmission. The body is painted maroon and sports good quality chrome and suicide rear doors. The car holds its original interior and has newer seat covers in beige cloth. The car has had several new parts including; all ignition parts, rebuilt carburetor, starter, generator, voltage regulator, battery, fuel pump, cleaned gas tank, master cylinder and fresh turned drums. The wide white wall tires and Mercury hub caps and menacing Mercury grill make this classic the perfect candidate for a lead sled. Or leave it alone and enjoy it as it sits. Mercury was its own division at Ford until 1945 when it was combined with Lincoln into the Lincoln-Mercury Division, with Ford hoping the brand would be known as a "junior Lincoln," rather than an upmarket Ford. In 1949, Mercury introduced the first of its "new look" integrated bodies, at the same time that Ford and Lincoln also changed styling radically. Again in 1952, Mercury offered a further modernization in its look. The name "Mercury" is derived from the messenger of the gods of Roman mythology, and during its early years, the Mercury brand was known for performance. This 1950 Mercury for sale comes with a Mercury ad from 1950 for these cars and shop manuals. These Mercs are gaining in popularity and value every year, don??t miss your chance get while the getting is good. This vehicle is located in our Louisville showroom, for more information please visit gatewayclassiccars.com or call the showroom at 812-294-1555.
