This is an Original 427--425HP big block high horsepower convertible NOM, Estimated build date is October 14, 1965. Two tops, rare A31 Power windows, Power antenna, AM/FM, original factory side pipe car.
The motor currently in the vehicle is NOM (not original motor). The motor in this Corvette is a 1968 327 V8 small block, NOT a 427 big block, however this is an original 427/425HP Corvette.
Now the Vette has dual chambered exhaust running from headers and out the back. It sounds pretty correct for the higher HP small block that is in it now. It has 411 gears an extra set of 356 gears and a M21 close ratio 4 speed.
The door gaps, etc appear to be good and body shows relatively straight. There is bondo around bonding strips inside the front fenders. Hood is small block type and is slightly high on passenger side. Frame is very clean with very minor surface scaling. The previous owner, in Cheyenne, said he purchased it from the widow of the original owner about 14 years ago. Purchased new in Wyoming. The mileage is exempt.
The car needs everything to be show condition, but is clean overall with much mechanical maintenance done.
Driving back to Boulder from Cheyenne the front end, brakes, motor, and overall drive line sounded and felt good.
The car has been repainted and was originally Ermine 972 white. It is a nice driver right now.
