Skt. 1790 1966 Ford Mustang
We, at The AutoBarn, always get excited over Mustangs, no matter what the vintage; but this particular 1966 Mustang has a special edge that makes it even more appealing a Hi-Po motor! According to its data tag, this Mustang was built on December 10th,1966 as a C code car, equipped originally with a 289 2V motor. But after further inspection of its engine block, we discovered the casting number C5AE-6015, which confirms its legitimacy as an actual Hi-Po block. Somewhere along the line someone decided to remove the original motor and replaced it with an even more desirable form of motivation. Its topped off with a Ford Motorsports M8424-A321 medium rise aluminum intake, Holley 600 cfm four barrel carb, mild camshaft and a roller rocker valve train hidden underneath finned aluminum Cobra valve covers. Upon closer inspection under the hood we also discovered it to still be sporting the original inner fenders, meaning no major collisions. Also its glossy Candy Apple Red (T) paintwork and fresh Black vinyl interior (26) it received in 2003 matches its drivers side data tag as the original and correct colors as does its C4 automatic transmission (6) and 2.80:1 rear axle (6). Beneath this pony is a solid, rust-free undercarriage with power drum brakes, power steering and aftermarket air conditioning. From behind the glossy drivers wheel is a beautifully crisp dashboard equipped with a fresh, crack-free dash pad and clear and legible instrument panel sporting a central speedometer displaying 93,660 original miles and separate fuel, oil, ammeter and temperature gauges. The carpeting, door panels and rear parcel shelf also show as crisp and fresh really convey the time and care placed in restoring this wonderful coupe. On the exterior as an added bonus; a full size luggage rack, Magnum 500 wheels and Redline radial tires complete the package. This Mustang Hi-Po tribute needs nothing and is ready to hit the road in search of adventure. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information.
