If youre looking for a completely wild hot rod to take out on the streets and turn heads, this 1938 Dodge Coupe is the perfect choice. Its packed with all types of custom goodies, a cool paint job, and a storied V8 that has loads of aftermarket support to customize and modify to your wildest dreams!
Starting with that wild paint job, Its a tasteful two tone purple and orange paint scheme that is separated with a progressive pink, yellow, and blue pinstripe. By progressive, we mean a single pink pinstripe starts at the nose of the car, then stacking with the yellow portion by the door, and finally meeting the lower blue stripe soon after that to wrap around the vehicle. Overall its definitely an eye catching paint scheme. That two tone paint lays on a steel body that appears to show smooth sheet metal. This Dodge maintains its factory ornamentation with horizontal separators that were popular with cars of the era, the split grill inserts that top the vintage Ram and wings badges, the vintage Ram hood ornament, and the Dodge Brothers badge located on the trunk. Sitting on 15 Weld wheels, this Dodge has all of the right touches for what a hot rod should be.
Inside, things get more detailed, with a custom tan vinyl interior. The adjustable buckets are covered in supple tan vinyl with three horizontal orange inserts on the back rests, while the head rests feature custom 38 Coupe stitching in purple. Behind the driver and passenger is a nicely customized, ported speaker box that houses two 12 subwoofers, two 6.5 mid range speakers, and a powerful amplifier. That box is wrapped in the same tan and orange vinyl that matches the seats, as well as the door panels. The bucket seats flank a custom made tan, purple, and orange center console that houses the gear selector and AM/FM/CD radio. It runs up towards the matching dashboard which carries a billet glove box, and a billet bezel that surrounds five Omega gauges measuring speed, fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. Things also get topped off with a custom billet steering wheel that is trimmed in leather and sits on a tilt column.
Power for this great custom comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 that has been dressed with a chrome Chevrolet branded air cleaner and chrome valve covers. Air and fuel is fed through a Holley carburetor through an aluminum intake manifold, while air/fuel mixture is ignited by red Accel Super Stock plug wires. Horsepower is transferred through an automatic transmission to the rear wheels. Power brakes with discs up front aid in stopping the big hot rod, while that small block sends exhaust gasses through a dual exhaust system. Finally, putting the power to the road is 215/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear all season tires.
This 1938 Dodge Coupe is definitely a turnkey package that is ready to be displayed at the local shows, cruise-ins, or on Main Street. You cant build a car like this for our asking price, so dont miss this opportunity. Call today!
