 Vehicle Description
For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 1947 Ford 2-dr Sedan. This beautifully restored Ford has a lot to offer. The exterior is painted in a PPG Washington Blue paint which was an original Ford color. The sedan also has a painted tan pin stripe that matches the tasteful interior. Looking inside you will see tan leather, a tan custom rear speaker tray, VDO gauges, a hand built custom console, and a Lokar automatic shifter. Everything has either been refurbished or replaced. Under the hood is a 302 CID V8 engine with AOD transmission. The drivetrain is followed by a 1967 Ford Mustang rear-end and a 2.79 gear. There are just 470 miles since the car was rebuilt! Options include: Vintage AC, AM/FM radio, CD player, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, tilt wheel, vinyl interior, radial tires, and aluminum/alloy B/G wheels. Given these options, this Ford makes for an extremely fun and comfortable ride that you can be very proud to own. The suspension is something to talk about as well. It has Chassis Engineering rear springs and a shock kit. Some additional upgraded components include: electric wipers, power rack and pinion steering, Lakeshore Mustang II front end, disc brakes, tubular upper and lower A-arms, Pontell aluminum radiator, original rear seat, front bucket seats, chromed bumpers, LED taillights, and a shaved trunk lid. This is a nice example of a custom early model Ford that you have the chance of owning at a much cheaper expense when compared to the cost of build. The 1947 Ford line was similar to the short 1946. Visual differences included the removal of the red accents from the grill and the two small lights located just above it. Ford restyled the body slightly first by moving the parking lights from above the grill to below each headlight. Exterior moldings were changed from grooved to a smooth design. A new hood ornament with a blue plastic insert was installed. Interior dash color was changed from red accent to gold. By September the roof mounted antenna was moved to the cowl. Horns were moved to in front of the radiator from the engine compartment. The final 1947 models were titled in November. There is so much history and character to be had! To view the 1947 Ford in greater detail, including an HD video, please visit or our St. Louis showroom. For more information please call 618-271-3000.
