"PRICE REDUCED $7000.00" I have "For Sale" for your consideration a "Totally Rust Free" 1981 Chevrolet El Camino * I'll be quite honest,I'm personally not a big fan of El Caminos or Rancheros. Not became of styling or function - its basically because everyone you find for a reasonable price, is rusted to death or loaded to the gills with body filler. The ones that are nice are so...overly priced its insane. So when this one came my way, purchasing it was a no brainer. I figure to make a few bucks & still offer the potential buyer a great bargain.
This El Camino still sports all its original rust free body panels. Its had a repaint, although I haven't been able to find any pervious bodywork - none. The undercarriage is amazingly clean & rust free. All the rocker panel pinch welds are in place & prefect. Wheels lips on all 4 corner are great. Chrome, brightwork & glass are very good.
The interior has bucket seats, rally dash with factory tach, complete compliment of under-dash gauges, electric windows, Am/Fm Cassette stereo. Only issue is the headliner is drooping which is not uncommon.
Originally a factory 5.0 Liter & 3-speed manual transmission. The engine was replaced about 5 years ago with a rebuilt 350-4 barrel. Has a mild cam that sounds awesome with the headers & dual exhaust. Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake with a 650 Holley w/electric choke for easy cold start-ups. The factory CCC computer system was removed & up-graded to a much more reliable early HEI. *** The 3-speed was ditched in favor of a 4-speed with Hurst shifter. Clutch works great with no chatter. Has the original GM 10 bolt open rear. Driving it like a human being will net you 20mpg if you keep your foot out of the 4-barrel - LOL. Theres approximately 20,000 miles on the engine.
Additional options are: Power steering - Power disc brakes - Corvette rally wheels with practically new radial tires - Fiberglass tonneau cover. "NO" air-condition & it never had A/C. Front end it tight & brakes are good - so you won't have to fool with any of that stuff.
Excellent driver "Runs & Drive Great" & wouldn't take a whole lot to make it a show car winner if that's what floats your boat.
Priced well under 10k - I'm offering it today for a very, very reasonable $8,500.00 *** These later model El Caminos are gaining in popularity as the prices for the earlier ones in this condition are in the high 20,000 range.
As always, personal & qualitifed 3rd party inspections are "More" then welcome *** Overseas buyers are welcome *** More photos are available to serious potential buyers *** No I'm not a dealer - I'm the owner/operator of a antique & classic car restoration shop *** Buying, Fixing & Selling is only a hobby to make a few extra bucks.
If this El Camino interest's you, please feel free to give Dan a call at 845-473-1413 days 845-546-5523 nights & weekends up to 9pm EST. *** Thank you & have a fine day.
