| Vehicle Description |
A rare find!! In 1977 and 1978, VW issued one "Champagne Edition" convertible to each US dealership, also known as a "Special US Sales Campaign" model S723. This was essentially a "Triple White" convertible, but used a sand colored convertible top and had a set of four gold stripes running along the bottom of the doors and rear quarter panels. (we haven't put the stripes on yet since repainting) They made betweem 500 to 1000 of them. This is one of them. Very low mileage on this original engine (about 55000). I'm the original owner. This car was used as our summer car on Nantucket until 1989. After that, I stored it carefully in my garage upstate, and drove it on special occasions. I recently did a complete overhaul. Mint paint, wheels, bumpers etc. Original seats and interior. (We had a better radio put in, and brand new carpeting) New top (now white)
All work was professionally done, and no expense was spared. This car is in new condition. If you are interested, I've got more photos. |
