I have hired out for special photographic occasions at the $90.00 per hour rate. Also a big favorite at family weddings.
The Shay was sold through the Ford dealers back in 1980s for $10,000 to $12,000 depending on the model. This one is called the Deluxe, having one spare tire mounted in the fender. The motor is the 1980 Ford Pinto with a three speed automatic transmission. It's my understanding only 25% were automatics of the 5000 that were built. You have front disc brakes, coil springs, shocks and a buckboard ride. The heater is located under the front seat and also vents to the rumble seat. There are four seat belts and a Sony radio with four speakers. The top and upholstery have been redone, tires and wiper motors are new, plus a custom banjo steering wheel. Comes with; business signs you can customize with your business name and business phone number, also a "JUST MARRIED" and "FELIZ QUINCE ANO" signs and new side curtains, a trunk(all not shown), car cover and all service work receipts since January of 2000.
