1966 Ford Galaxie 500 2dr hardtop with only 74,844 miles. Factory Z code 390, 4v, 315HP. The car has its original C6 automatic transmission power steering and standard brakes. The car has most of its original light blue paint and matching blue vinyl interior. This is an excellent original car that I purchased from the second owner in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC. The body is about as nice as you will find, there is a very light amount of rust in the outer skin on the passenger door, which is the only rust in this car. The floors and frame are perfect. The chrome is great; however there are a few dings in the alum. trim. The interior is very nice as is, at one time the 2nd owner had the seat inserts replaced and installed a carpet dash pad cover. The dash pad is cracked like most of them are. This car runs great I have installed a new gas tank and sending unit, replaced the original plastic fuel line along the frame rail with a copper line and rebuilt the carb. The trans. works fine, the car stops but the pedal is hard and I would not trust the brakes to drive the car very far. The tires are also old and dry rotted and should be replaced. This is an excellent original car with the desirable Z-code, 390 4v engine. It will take very little beside a new paint job to have a nice weekend cruiser and even lees to have a great daily driver.
