The retro-styled Mustang is unquestionably a slam-dunk success for Ford. This awesome 2007 Ford Mustang GT convertible is one of those rare ponies that is not only nicely preserved, but tastefully modified to blur the line between custom and OEM.
Finished in Tungsten with black stripes, this GT is both elegant and aggressive. The redesign offers a lot of cues linked to the past, including the wide grille, triple-element taillights, and the traditional Mustang profile. In an era where almost any 8-cylinder Mustang is modified the moment it leaves the showroom floor, its refreshing to see one that has been lovingly maintained but also used as intended. Modifications include an Eleanor grille with fog lamps, CDC classic chin spoiler, a billet gas cap, and sequential taillights that put on an awesome show for the folks behind you. Paint quality is quite good, showing only minor signs of use that are certainly in lie with its 33,944 original miles. It doesnt look stock any more, but onlookers will be hard-pressed to name exactly what has been changed, and thats always the hallmark of a successful custom build.
Inside, its the same story, with factory-fresh surfaces everywhere you look. The drivers black leather seat shows some very minor creases from someone sitting behind the wheel, but the side bolsters remain unblemished. Carpets, door panels, and the headliner are like new, and, of course, everything works like it should. The instruments have a very cool 60s font, clearly inspired by the 67 GT, along with that slick tri-spoke steering wheel wrapped in unmarked black leather. Theres a Hurst shifter with cue ball knob for the 5-speed manual transmission, but that appears to be the only noteworthy modification inside. The rear seats look completely unused, the carpets are excellent, and theres a nice-fitting power black convertible top overhead that seals the car up with the touch of a button. And for true Mustang fans, theres even a Mustang-logo trunk mat.
Open the hood and youll find a Roush supercharged version of Fords highly developed 4.6 liter V8, with a blower that was dealer-installed prior to delivery. In first, its hard to keep the tires hooked up, and the car lunges forward in any gear with a prod of the throttle, delivering that very distinctive Mustang bellow. Its remarkably easy to drive and very user-friendly, with computer settings and tuning that make it feel quite stock when youre just tooling around town. The engine bay is spotless, not over-detailed, but showing very few signs of use, indicative of a lightly used and expertly maintained car. The 5-speed manual slips through the gears easily, and with a tall overdrive cruises at ridiculous speeds. The exhaust is upgraded with Flowmaster mufflers that sound spectacular and a full Stillen suspension with Steeda lowering springs give it that crouching stance. Four-wheel discs with ABS, traction control, and other electronic aids make it vastly safer than any previous Mustang, and those gorgeous black powdercoated Saleen wheels look right at home, especially wrapped in 255/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear performance rubber.
This potent Mustang comes with all the paperwork, invoices, window sticker, and manuals, too, making it easy to make the purchase decision because there are no question marks anywhere on it. Call today!
