First off, let me say I wish I did not have to get rid of my baby, but I am looking to purchase a home and need some additional funds for the down payment. I bought the car as a birthday present for myself 3 years ago. The car runs and drives well and is a big attention getter.
I am also including the domain name MyKarmannGhia.net registered until 09/09/2010.
This Ghia received several updates in the early 90's, including a chrome quad exhaust, new paint, new top and reupholstered interior.
It's original color was Blue, it is now White, with only light fading on the engine trunk lid. The black vinyl top is in superb condition and includes a black vinyl cover which could use some attention around a couple of the buttons which snap it onto the vehicle.
The interior is in fairly good condition, their are some rips on the drivers seat and the carpet is worn. The door panels are in good condition and are custom with VW trim on the panels. The drivers side exterior door handle trigger is broken. I can order this part and include it with the car.
The rear view mirror is not original and has a golf cart mirror which spans the entire width of the windshield and provides an excellent view of common "blind spots". Driver and passenger side mirrors are also replacements.
Tires have less than 500 miles on them, EMPI style wheels. New battery, spark plugs and wires, points and fuel filter (w/receipts)
